EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Joe Schoen suele decir que la plantilla de los Giants es un ente en evolución. "Me gustan algunas de las piezas que tenemos", dijo Schoen después de que los Giants hicieran su última selección en el Draft de la NFL. "Me gustan algunas de las mejoras. Los Giants concluyeron su draft de 2024 con seis jugadores, tres en la ofensiva y tres en la defensiva. Eligieron a tres jugadores el sábado en el último día del draft.
En la cuarta ronda, en el puesto 107 general, los Giants seleccionaron al ala cerrada de Penn State, Theo Johnson. Su selección de quinta ronda, en el puesto 166, fue el corredor Tyrone Tracy, Jr. de Purdue. La última selección de los Giants, en la sexta ronda y en el puesto 183 general, fue el liniero medio de UCLA, Darius Muasau.
Johnson, Tracy y Muasau se unieron a los tres jugadores que los Giants sumaron en los primeros dos días del draft: el ala abierta de LSU, Malik Nabers en la primera ronda; el safety de Minnesota, Tyler Nubin en la segunda ronda y el esquinero de Kentucky, Andru Phillips en la tercera.

Por primera vez en sus tres años aquí, Schoen no hizo intercambios en el draft.
También destacó el hecho de que no seleccionó un quarterback. Como hacen todos los años, Schoen y Daboll examinaron minuciosamente a los mejores jugadores en esa posición, y el gerente general exploró la posibilidad de negociar para seleccionar uno. Pero optó por quedarse con el trío de Daniel Jones, Drew Lock y Tommy DeVito. "Creo que es una posición diferente cuando la estás evaluando", dijo Schoen. "Conoces a los jugadores que tienen contrato por más de un año", dijo. "Dexter (Lawrence) tiene contrato. Burns tiene contrato por cinco años. Kayvon (Thibodeaux) por tres, (Bobby) Okereke por otros tres, Tae Banks por cuatro. Acabamos de firmar a Nubin por cuatro años".
