5 players to watch vs. Cowboys
Keep an eye on these five players in the Giants' regular season opener Sunday night

QB ELI MANNINGEntering his 14th season, the two-time Super Bowl MVP is looking to lead a bounce-back year for the offense. Among the additions to his arsenal are wide receiver Brandon Marshall and tight ends Evan Engram and Rhett Ellison.

DE JASON PIERRE-PAULPierre-Paul looked like vintage JPP in the preseason, racking up 1.5 sacks, two passes defensed and an interception in two games with limited reps.

LB B.J. GOODSONThe second-year pro was the breakout player of the summer as he stepped into the starting role at middle linebacker. Recently, because of injuries in the position group, he has shown the ability to be a three-down linebacker.

DT DAMON HARRISONA first-team All-Pro selection in 2016, Harrison is one of the best run defenders in the game – if not the best. The Giants will need him to play like it against Ezekiel Elliott, who runs behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.

CB JANORIS JENKINSThe Pro Bowl cornerback helped limit Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant to two catches for 18 yards in two meetings last season, both of which were Giants victories.
