5 players to watch in Giants vs. Patriots
Keep an eye on these players when the Giants face the Patriots in Thursday's preseason finale.
RB PAUL PERKINS: After missing all of last season with a pectoral injury, Perkins continues to knock off the rust as he tries to carve out a role behind Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley.
QB DANIEL JONES: The sixth overall pick will make his first NFL start on Thursday night in place of Eli Manning, who will sit the preseason finale for the fifth consecutive year.
CB COREY BALLENTINE: Ballentine has been one of the breakout players of training camp. He carried over his success on the practice field to the preseason games, where he has racked up 11 tackles, three pass breakups and an interception in his first three outings.
RB JON HILLIMAN: The undrafted rookie from Rutgers has found the end zone in back-to-back games. Can he make it three in a row?
O-LINE DEPTH: With starters playing minimal snaps, if at all, the fourth preseason game is the final chance for backup offensive linemen to make their case. The 53-man roster will be set on Saturday.
