5 players to watch in Giants vs. Bengals
Keep an eye on these five players when the Giants take on the Bengals Thursday night in Cincinnati.
QB ELI MANNING: With starters typically playing the longest in the third preseason game, Manning will look to build off last week's performance in which he completed all four of his pass attempts for 42 yards and a touchdown.
QB DANIEL JONES: The sixth overall pick is averaging 12.0 yards per throw with a passer rating of 151.8, which are both the best in the NFL among quarterbacks with more than six pass attempts this preseason.
DL DEXTER LAWRENCE: A first-round draft choice, Lawrence has split his snaps roughly 50-50 between the inside and outside of James Bettcher's 3-4 scheme. He is looking to take the next step with the first-team defense with increased reps on Thursday night.
OLB LORENZO CARTER: The Giants generated some pressure last week with three sacks against the Bears, and Carter will look to keep the momentum going in Cincinnati.
OFFENSIVE LINE: The rebuilt offensive line is just scratching the surface of what it hopes to accomplish in 2019 and beyond.
