5 players to watch at Training Camp
Keep an eye on these five players when the Giants report for Training Camp

WR VICTOR CRUZ Cruz, who has not suited up for a game since October of 2014 because of injuries, is on the comeback trail again. The veteran wide receiver took limited reps in jog-through periods at minicamp last month, aiming to be full-go by training camp.

CB ELI APPLE If you have two cornerbacks in today's NFL, you're short one. The No. 10 overall draft pick out of Ohio State gives the Giants a formidable trio at the position alongside Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Janoris Jenkins.

DE JASON PIERRE-PAUL After a life-changing year, JPP signed a one-year contract to stay with the team that drafted him in 2010. The veteran defensive end, who switched from a club to a glove on his injured right hand, said he has "unfinished business" with the Giants.

CB JANORIS JENKINS Along with defensive end Olivier Vernon and defensive tackle Damon Harrison, Jenkins was part of the Giants' major haul in free agency this past March. The former Ram looked as good as advertised in the spring as the team aims to turn around the defense in 2016.

SAFETY DARIAN THOMPSON The third-round pick out of Boise State impressed defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo out of the gates at rookie minicamp and never slowed down. He ran with the first team for most of spring and hopes to lock up a starting role opposite Landon Collins.
