ARLINGTON, Texas – Notes and statistics from the Giants' 27-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in AT&T Stadium:

*Drew Lock made his first start at quarterback of the Giants in place of Tommy DeVito, who was inactive because of a forearm injury he suffered last Sunday vs. Tampa Bay. Lock, 28, is the Giants' fifth starting quarterback in Brian Daboll's three seasons as head coach, joining Daniel Jones, Davis Webb (in the 2022 season finale), Tyrod Taylor and DeVito.

*Lock completed 21 of 32 passes for 178 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception that was returned for a touchdown. He was sacked six times for 47 yards in losses and lost a fumble on a 2-yard sack on the third play of the second half. Lock also led the Giants with 57 rushing yards on just four carries, including an 8-yard touchdown and a career long 28-yarder that set up the Giants' other touchdown, a one-yard run by Tyrone Tracy.

*Lock was the Giants' third different starting quarterback in as many games, following Jones vs. Carolina in Munich and DeVito vs. Tampa Bay. This is the second season in a row the Giants have started a different quarterback in three consecutive games, and each time the third contest was against the Cowboys here. In 2023, Taylor started on Oct 29 vs. the Jets, Jones on Nov. 5 at Las Vegas, and DeVito on Nov. 12 in AT&T Stadium.

*The start was the 24^th of Lock's career. He started 21 games in three seasons with the Denver Broncos (2019-21), including a career-high 13 in 2020, and two games last year for the Seattle Seahawks. Lock's record as an NFL starter is 9-15.

*Lock is the 32^nd different quarterback to start a game for the Giants in the Super Bowl era and the fourth in a row to lose his debut, joining Webb, Taylor and DeVito. The last quarterback to win his first start with the Giants was Colt McCoy at Seattle on Dec. 6, 2020.

*Rookie Malik Nabers led all receivers with eight catches for 69 yards. Nabers increased his season total to 75 catches, the highest total by a player in his first 10 career games in NFL history. He moved past Odell Beckham, Jr., who like Nabers is a former LSU star and Giants' first-round draft choice; fellow rookie Brock Bowers, the Las Vegas Raiders' tight end; and the Rams' Puka Nacua, who set the former mark last season.

*Tracy's one-yard touchdown run with 3:06 remaining in the first quarter put the Giants ahead, 7-3, their first lead since their 29-20 victory in Seattle on Oct. 6. After Dallas opened the scoring with a field goal, the Giants drove 70 yards in 13 plays to score a touchdown on their first offensive series for the second time this season and first time since Sept. 15 in Washington.

*Under Brian Daboll, the Giants are 2-2 in regular season game in which they score a first possession touchdown, plus 1-0 in the playoffs.

*Tracy's touchdowns gave the Giants their initial first-half points since their game against Washington on Nov. 3.

*Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown scored Dallas' first touchdown when he batted a Lock screen pass in the air, then caught the ball intended for Devin Singletary and returned it 23 yards to the end zone. It was Overshown's first interception in his 11 career games, all this season.

Overshown scored the third defensive touchdown and second on an interception return this season against the Giants. On Sept. 8, Minnesota's Andrew Van Ginkel picked off a Daniel Jones pass and returned it 10 yards for a score. The Seahawks' Rayshawn Jenkins recovered Eric Gray's fumble and returned it 102 yards for a touchdown in Seattle on Oct. 6.

*Overshown also recovered Lock's third-quarter fumble.

*Singletary made his first start since Sept. 26, in the season's first Giants-Cowboys game. Tracy had started the previous seven games. Singletary rushed for 23 yards on seven carries, while Tracy gained 32 yards on nine attempts and caught two passes for 33 yards.

*The Giants, who had an NFL-high 35 sacks through their first eight games, did not record a sack for the third time in their last four games. They have just one sack in that span.

*The Giants did not intercept a pass for the 11^th consecutive game, an NFL record. They had been tied with the 1976-77 San Francisco 49ers and the 2017 Oakland Raiders.

*The Giants' 131 net passing yards was their second lowest total of the season; they had 43 yards vs. Philadelphia.

*Dallas' six sacks were the second-highest total allowed by the Giants this season; the Eagles had eight sacks on Oct. 20.

*The Giants did not force a turnover and have lost their last nine games in which they did not have a takeaway. Their last victory without a takeaway was at Arizona on Sept. 17, 2023.

*The Giants had a minus-2 turnover differential, the 12th consecutive game they did not have a positive turnover differential, extending the longest single-season streak in franchise history. The Giants are 2-4 in games with a zero turnover differential and 0-6 when it's minus-1 or minus-2.

*The Giants had 13 accepted penalties, the highest total in Brian Daboll's three seasons as head coach. The previous high was 11 at Pittsburgh exactly a month ago.

*This was the Giants' first indoor game of the season. Last year, they played indoors in Arizona, Las Vegas and New Orleans. The Giants are 34-37 in regular-season games indoors…but 3-0 in the postseason.

*The Giants' inactive players were tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (quad), cornerbacks Deonte Banks (rib) and Tre Hawkins, safety Anthony Johnson, guard Jake Kubas, tight end Greg Dulcich, and DeVito, who was the designated third quarterback because he has a right forearm injury.

*With Eluemunor sidelined, Chris Hubbard played the entire game at left tackle for the third time this season.

*Adoree' Jackson made his first start of the season in place of cornerback Deonte Banks, who was sidelined with a rib injury. Jackson had seven tackles (four solo) and one pass defensed.

*The Giants are 7-7-3 on Thanksgiving, including 0-3 in Dallas. All 17 games have been on the road, the most in NFL history by a team that has never had a Thanksgiving home game.
