Malik Nabers ranked among top 10 wide receivers by PFF

Following a record-setting rookie year with the Giants, Malik Nabers continues to garner praise from the media.

Pro Football Focus' Lauren Gray recently ranked the top 32 wide receivers from the 2024 campaign, with the Giants' star rookie landing at No. 9.

"Nabers put up historic numbers in a rough season for the Giants," wrote Gray. "He surpassed Puka Nacua for the most receptions by a rookie receiver (106) in NFL history. That mark also set a Giants single-season record, one that had stood since 2009.

"Nabers recorded 14 games with five-plus catches, another rookie record, including a streak of 10 consecutive games to finish the season. In all, the LSU star recorded 1,204 yards this season (seventh most), with seven touchdowns and 16 catches of 20-plus yards. He led all rookie receivers in targets (165), yards after contact (256), first downs (55) and missed tackles forced (19)."

Despite missing two games and catching passes from four different quarterbacks, Nabers still put together a historic rookie campaign. As mentioned by Gray, the 21-year-old's 109 receptions set a new franchise record, beating Steve Smith's previous record of 107 catches set in 2009.

In addition to finishing seventh in receiving yards, Nabers ranked fifth in the NFL with his 109 receptions (and third among wide receivers). Meanwhile, his 14 games with five or more receptions topped the previous high of 12 such games, a mark shared by Terry Glenn and Anquan Boldin.

PFF also ranked Nabers as the third-best rookie overall from the 2024 season.
