NFL.com's Chad Reuter releases new 4-round mock draft
We are officially one month out from the start of the 2025 NFL Draft.
With pro days underway and top 30 visits kicking into high gear, draft boards are likely to change over the next few weeks.
NFL.com draft analyst Chad Reuter recently released a new four-round mock draft, in which he projects the top three quarterbacks to all hear their names called within the first seven picks.
After projecting Cam Ward to the Titans and Abdul Carter to the Browns, Reuter has the Giants selecting Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders at No. 3.
"Sanders might not be the biggest, strongest or fastest passer, but he throws with anticipation from the pocket and can test defenses with his feet when facing man coverage," wrote Reuter. "The Giants have lacked a true leader at the quarterback position for years; Sanders works to make his teammates better and knows what it means to play under the spotlight."
After starting at Jackson State, where he played for two years and was named the SWAC Freshman of the Year in 2021 and the SWAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2022, Sanders finished his collegiate career at Colorado.
The 6-foot-1, 212-pound quarterback put together back-to-back strong campaigns for the Buffaloes, where he continued to play under his father and NFL legend Deion Sanders, who was also his coach at Jackson State.
Sanders completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions across 11 games as a junior in 2023. This past season, he completed an impressive 74.0 percent of his passes for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
His 2024 performance led to him being named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in addition to being selected as the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award recipient, given to the nation's top upperclassman quarterback.
Here are the first seven picks in Reuter's latest mock draft.
- Tennessee Titans - Cam Ward, QB, Miami
- Cleveland Browns - Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State
- New York Giants - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
- New England Patriots - Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
- Jacksonville Jaguars - Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
- Las Vegas Raiders - Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
- New York Jets - Jaxson Dart, QB, Mississippi

After addressing the most important position on the field in the first round, Reuter has the Giants beefing up the trenches with their next few picks, starting with Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon at No. 34.
Harmon spent his first three seasons at Michigan State before transferring to Oregon for the 2024 campaign. In 14 games for the Ducks, the 6-foot-4, 313-pound tackle set new highs with five sacks, 45 tackles (27 solo), 11 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and four passes defensed.
The 21-year-old was named second-team All-Big Ten for his dominant 2024 season.
Moving to the third round, Reuter has the Giants attacking the other side of the line of scrimmage with the selection of Purdue offensive lineman Marcus Mbow at No. 65.
Mbow played in 36 games with time at both right guard and right tackle for the Boilermakers. Over his final three seasons, the 6-foot-4, 303-pound lineman started all 32 games he played in, 14 at right guard and 18 at right tackle, and allowed a total of just four sacks across 1,078 pass block snaps.
He was selected as second-team Freshman All-American (2022) while also being named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention three times (2022-24).
With the Giants' second pick in the third round (No. 99), the mock draft has the Giants taking South Carolina edge rusher Kyle Kennard.
After playing in 42 games across four seasons at Georgia Tech, Kennard transferred to South Carolina and broke out in a big way in 2024.
The 6-foot-4, 254-pound edge rusher racked up several new career-highs with his 11.5 sacks, 16 tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles.
Kennard earned numerous accolades for his dominant performance, including second-team All-American by the Associated Press, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and first-team All-SEC. He also took home the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, awarded by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) to the nation's top defensive player.
With the fifth and final pick in the mock draft, Reuter projects Stanford wide receiver Elic Ayomanor to the Giants at No. 105.
Ayomanor played in 24 games across two seasons at Stanford and finished with 125 receptions for 1,844 yards and 12 touchdowns.
The 6-foot-2, 206-pound receiver totaled 62 receptions for 1,013 yards and six touchdowns as a sophomore in 2023, which led to him receiving the Jon Cornish Trophy, an award given annually to the top Canadian player in NCAA football.
This past season, Ayomanor recorded 63 receptions for 831 yards and six touchdowns, earning a selection as second-team All-ACC.
