Chad Reuter's new 5-round mock draft

The clock is ticking as the 2025 NFL Draft officially begins in only 16 days.

NFL.com's Chad Reuter is the latest analyst to release new draft predictions, this time in the form of a five-round mock draft, which saw the Giants make some intriguing additions on both sides of the football.

Here are Reuter's projections for all six of the Giants' picks in the first five rounds.

Pick for No. 3: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Analysis: "The Giants appear determined to field a deep quarterback room after enduring mediocre play at the position over the past few seasons. Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston are nice additions who should ensure a strong veteran presence that could help Sanders settle in as the team's future QB1."

After starting at Jackson State, where he played for two years and was named the SWAC Freshman of the Year in 2021 and the SWAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2022, Sanders finished his collegiate career at Colorado.

The 6-foot-1, 212-pound quarterback put together back-to-back strong campaigns for the Buffaloes, where he continued to play under his father and NFL legend Deion Sanders, who was also his coach at Jackson State.

Sanders completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions across 11 games as a junior in 2023. This past season, he completed an impressive 74.0 percent of his passes for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

His 2024 performance led to him being named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in addition to being selected as the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award recipient, given to the nation's top upperclassman quarterback.

Pick for No. 34: Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama

While lining up primarily at left guard while at Alabama, Booker also spent some time at left tackle and right guard during his three seasons in Tuscaloosa.

The 6-foot-5, 321-pound lineman was named first-team All-SEC by the Associated Press each of the last two years, while also being selected as second-team All-American this past season after not allowing a sack across nearly 400 pass block snaps.

Booker finished his collegiate career having allowed a mere two sacks on over 1,000 pass block snaps across his three seasons, according to Pro Football Focus.

Pick for No. 65: Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo

Alexander is coming off back-to-back strong seasons at Toledo, where he totaled 7.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss since the start of the 2023 campaign. He was named third-team All-MAC for his performance in 2023 before earning second-team All-MAC honors this past season.

The 24-year-old lineman measures in at 6-foot-4, 305 pounds, which helped him in becoming one of Pro Football Focus' top defensive tackles against the run last year. Alexander also shined at the Senior Bowl, which helped boost his draft stock ahead of the Combine.

Pick for No. 99: Kyle Kennard, Edge, South Carolina

After playing in 42 games across four seasons at Georgia Tech, Kennard transferred to South Carolina and broke out in a big way in 2024. The 6-foot-4, 254-pound edge rusher racked up several new career-highs with his 11.5 sacks, 16 tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles.

Kennard earned numerous accolades for his dominant performance, including second-team All-American by the Associated Press, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and first-team All-SEC. He also took home the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, awarded by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) to the nation's top defensive player.

Pick for No. 105: Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Bowling Green

Fannin is coming off a breakout season for Bowling Green in which he reeled in a whopping 117 passes for 1,555 yards and 10 touchdowns while adding another 65 yards and a score on the ground. Not only did Fannin lead the nation in both receptions and receiving yards, but he also set several FBS single-season records for tight ends, including receptions, receiving yards, receiving yards per game, and receptions per game.

The 6-foot-3, 241-pound tight end was named Consensus All-American, MAC Most Valuable Player, and MAC Offensive Player of the Year for his dominant 2024 performance. He also finished his collegiate career with back-to-back selections as first-team All-MAC (2023-24).

Pick for No. 154: Caleb Ransaw, CB, Tulane

Ransaw transferred to Tulane for the 2024 season after three years at Troy. Over his final two seasons, one at Tulane and the previous one at Troy, Ransaw compiled 85 total tackles (52 solo), one interception, five passes defensed, one sack, and 10 tackles for loss while primarily lining up as a nickel defender.

The 22-year-old had one of the top performances among corners at the Combine as he ran a 4.33 40-yard dash with a 40-inch vertical and 10'9" broad jump. This led to him earning one of the Combine's top athleticism scores at his position.

NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah released his latest ranking of the top 50 prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.
