The New York Giants have re-signed veteran offensive lineman Greg Van Roten.

Van Roten was the only Giants player not to miss a snap last season, lining up for 1,125 plays on offense and 36 on special teams. The veteran made 15 starts at right guard and the final two at center – all after signing one week into training camp.

Van Roten and outside linebacker Brian Burns were the only Giants to start every game.

Van Roten helped Tyrone Tracy Jr. rush for the second-highest total by a rookie in Giants history, while sixth overall pick Malik Nabers set the franchise reception record.

The 6-foot-4, 295-pound New York native has played in 127 regular-season games with 88 starts in his career – 58 at right guard, 27 at left guard, and three at center. He also played two seasons (2015-16) with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, where he started games at center, right guard, left tackle, and right tackle. He was named an Eastern All-Star in his first season in the league.

In 2023, Van Roten started all 17 games at right guard in his only season in Las Vegas, where he played for current Giants offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo.

Van Roten originally made it to the NFL as an undrafted rookie with Green Bay in 2012.

He played four seasons at the University of Pennsylvania (2008-11), starting in all 30 games in his final three seasons. He was a two-time Ivy League champion and picked up unanimous first-team All-Ivy honors as a senior. As a junior, he anchored the top rushing, scoring, and total offense in the Ivy League

Van Roten graduated from the Wharton School with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He attended Chaminade High School in Mineola, N.Y., and was a New York All-State and All-Catholic High School Football League selection.
