Giants re-sign linebacker Ty Summers

The New York Giants have re-signed linebacker Ty Summers.

Summers spent the 2024 campaign with the Giants and played in 16 games with two starts. He finished the season with 29 tackles (13 solo), including one tackle for loss, and one pass defensed while playing primarily on special teams.

The 6-foot-1, 241-pound linebacker has played in 83 games with the Packers (2019-21), Jaguars (2022), Saints (2022-23) and Giants since being drafted as a seventh-round pick (No. 226 overall). His career totals include 89 tackles (55 solo), one tackle for loss, one fumble recovery and two passes defensed.

Prior to entering the NFL, Summers spent time at TCU (2014-18) where he played in 51 games and totaled 319 tackles (168 solo), 10.5 sacks, 24 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, two interceptions and nine passes defensed. He was named second-team All-Big 12 in 2016 after recording 121 total tackles, including five tackles for loss.
