Experts react to Giants' trade for Isaiah Simmons
With less than a week to go until they must reduce their roster to 53 players, the Giants made a trade with the Arizona Cardinals Thursday, acquiring versatile safety Isaiah Simmons for a 2024 seventh-round pick.
Originally the eighth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Cardinals, Simmons has played 50 regular-season games with 37 starts, as well as one postseason game. He has not missed a game in his three NFL seasons. His career numbers include 258 total tackles (181 solo), 7.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, 11 quarterback hits, seven forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, four interceptions, 16 passes defensed and one defensive touchdown.
After the news about the trade broke, many analysts took to Twitter to praise GM Joe Schoen and the Giants for the move.
