Eli Manning teams up with Tackle Kids Cancer for My Cause, My Cleats
Teams across the NFL are celebrating "My Cause My Cleats" as players will wear customized cleats reflecting their commitment to charitable causes.
The 2023 Giants are representing many different charitable organizations, but it is not only current players that are joining the cause.
Giants legend Eli Manning had a pair of cleats designed for the My Cause, My Cleats initiative in support of Tackle Kids Cancer, an organization that raises money for pediatric cancer research and patient care programs through Hackensack Meridian Health.
The cleats were drawn and designed by Jayden, a young patient undergoing cancer treatment. Both Jayden and Manning appeared in a video together posted to the Tackle Kids Cancer social media account.
"Jayden, he designed it from scratch," Manning said in the video. "All different ideas, drew it up, and today they came. I got to reveal them with him, and they turned out awesome."
Manning showed off the cleats during the Bengals-Jaguars Week 13 ManningCast on ESPN2.
"I felt excited that I got the opportunity to do this and fulfill my dreams of becoming an artist," Jayden said. "It was amazing seeing my creation come to life right in front of me. I'm excited for Eli to wear my shoes on Monday and see them in action."
