New name for Giants in CBS Sports' 3-round mock draft

Another day, another mock draft.

The latest analyst to release their predictions for next month's NFL Draft is CBS Sports' Chris Trapasso, who put out a new three-round mock draft this week.

With the third overall pick, Trapasso has the Giants selecting a name we have yet to hear during mock draft season - Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou.

"Whoever is eventually the starter for the Giants in 2025 will need to be better protected than past quarterbacks in the Brian Daboll era," the CBS Sports analyst wrote. "Membou is a powerful blocker with elite testing numbers."

The 6-foot-4, 332-pound tackle out of Missouri did not allow a single sack across 411 pass block snaps as a junior this past season, according to Pro Football Focus, and allowed a total of just three sacks between his first two years with the Tigers. He was named second-team All-SEC by both the Associated Press and the conference's coaches following his dominant 2024 campaign.

At this year's NFL Combine, Membou finished with Next Gen Stats' highest athleticism score among offensive tackles after he ran a 4.91 40-yard dash to go with his 34" vertical jump and 31 bench press reps.

Membou lined up exclusively at right tackle during his time in Columbia, but also has experience playing guard going back to high school.

Moving to the second round, Trapasso has the Giants adding another pass rusher in the form of Marshall edge Mike Green.

Green began his collegiate career at Virginia, where he played in six games as a freshman back in 2021. After not playing at all during the 2022 campaign, the 6-foot-3, 251-pound edge rusher transferred to Marshall where his career took off.

Green totaled 4.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss across 13 games in 2023. But it was this past season that really saw his draft stock skyrocket.

Playing in 13 games, Green put together one of the most decorated seasons in Marshall history as he led the FBS with 17 sacks and 22.5 tackles for loss. His sack total set a Sun Belt conference record and tied the Marshall record, previously set by Cecil Fletcher in 1986.

This performance led to Green being named the Sun Belt Player of the Year and first-team All-SBC, along with second-team All-American by the Associated Press.

With the team's third pick in CBS Sports' three-round mock draft, Trapasso has the Giants finally addressing the quarterback position with the selection of Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe at No. 65.

Milroe was a two-year starter for the Crimson Tide with 26 starts under center across the last two seasons. As a redshirt sophomore in 2023, the 6-foot-2, 217-pound quarterback completed 65.8 percent of his passes for 2,834 yards, 23 touchdowns and six interceptions while adding 12 rushing touchdowns. This led to him being named second-team All-SEC and finishing sixth in the Heisman Trophy voting.

Across 13 games this past season, Milroe finished with 2,844 passing yards, a 64.3 completion percentage, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, but scored a whopping 20 rushing touchdowns.

Milroe participated in Alabama's Pro Day on Wednesday, where he put together an impressive performance. His Next Gen Stats athleticism score of 99 ranks No. 1 among all quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah released his latest ranking of the top 50 prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.
