Brian Burns attends 2024 Sack Summit
Following the creation of Tight End University a few years ago, several other position groups across the NFL have formed their own gatherings.
Many of the NFL's top pass rushers recently got together in Las Vegas for the 2024 Sack Summit, hosted by Buffalo Bills OLB Von Miller, Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby and New Orleans Saints DE Cam Jordan.
Joining the trio of elite edge rushers was New York Giants outside linebacker Brian Burns.
"The Sack Summit is an annual gathering of the top NFL Pass Rushers," the website states. "The 2 day summit, traditionally hosted in Las Vegas, NJ in June, provides a rare opportunity for players of the same position on different teams around the League to "link and learn" in one comfortable environment where they can share their skills, knowledge and technique with each other. Together they run through a series of on-field drills and workouts, watch film of each other, while also mentoring up-and-coming defensive stars. Bonds are formed between players of all ages and backgrounds."
In addition to Burns, Miller, Crosby and Jordan, many other players, both current and former, stopped by to share intel with their fellow pass rushers.
Additional guests included NFL analyst Brian Baldinger, Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp, Jacksonville Jaguars outside linebacker Josh Allen, New England Patriots outside linebacker Matthew Judon and many others.
"Right now, I'm just trying to pick the older guys' brains," Burns told Baldinger in an interview at the Sack Summit. "I never really got to sit down and talk to Von (Miller). I talked to Cam (Jordan), I talked to Maxx (Crosby), those are guys I usually talk to. But now, I get to sit around Von and (Matthew) Judon, and it's also important for the younger guys coming into the league."
