"Make the Case" is officially back on Giants.com for the 2025 NFL Draft.

In this series, we look at projections provided by analysts and then ask you, the fans, to weigh in on what the Giants should do in the draft.

Next up, we're going to take a look at the latest first-round predictions from NFL.com's Eric Edholm and NFL Media's Charles Davis.

Pick: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

Height: 6-foot | Weight: 188 pounds

2024 Stats: 96 receptions for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns; 36 tackles (25 solo), 4 interceptions, 11 passes defensed, 22 receptions for 212 yards and 1 touchdown allowed, 38.8 passer rating against (according to PFF)

Accolades: Heisman Trophy (2024), AP College Football Player of the Year (2024), Walter Camp Award (2024), Chuck Bednarik Award (2024), Fred Biletnikoff Award (2024), Lott Trophy (2024), 2x Paul Hornung Award (2023, 2024), Unanimous All-American (2024), Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year (2024), 2x First-Team All-Big 12 (WR & CB) (2024), Consensus All-American (2023), First-Team All-Pac-12 (All-Purpose) (2023), Second-Team All-Pac-12 (CB) (2023), Second-Team All-SWAC (2022), SWAC Freshman of the Year (2022)

"Hunter would give the Giants another elite talent after last year's top-10 selection of Malik Nabers. Not to mention, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner could probably start for New York at either corner or receiver right away, so Big Blue almost can't go wrong here."

Pick: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State

Height: 6-foot-3 | Weight: 250 pounds

2024 Stats: 16 games, 68 tackles (43 solo), 12.0 sacks, 23.5 tackles for loss (led the nation), 2 forced fumbles, 4 passes defensed

Accolades: Unanimous All-American (2024), Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year (2024), Smith-Brown Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year (2024), 2x First-Team All-Big Ten (2023, 2024), Second-Team All-Big Ten (2022)

"I wouldn't rule out a quarterback for the Giants here if Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders were available, even after the signings of Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. With the top QBs already off the board in this mock, New York lands the prospect many believe is the best player in the draft."
