2 Giants make The Athletic's early All-Rookie Team

Through the first four weeks of the season, the Giants have gotten a lot out of their rookies.

In fact, the Giants are among the league leaders in snaps for their rookie class, due in large part to the group's solid play.

The Athletic's Dane Brugler recently released his early 2024 All-Rookie Team, where he chose one winner, one runner-up and a couple of honorable mentions at each position.

To no one's surprise, Malik Nabers was the wide receiver selected.

"My favorite part of Nabers' game at LSU was his ability to create explosive plays — he led the FBS with 34 catches of 20-plus yards in 2023," wrote Brugler. "And through the first month of the NFL season, he is tied for the league lead with seven catches of 20-plus yards.

"So far, Nabers has looked like the superstar his college film suggested he would be. His gliding athleticism allows him to separate early or late in the route, and he does an outstanding job adjusting and framing the football. Add in his ability to create after the catch and Nabers has the skill set to be one of the best wide receivers in the NFL."

The 21-year-old leads the NFL with 35 receptions, five more than any other player, while his 386 receiving yards rank second.

He is the first player in the Super Bowl era with at least 30 receptions, 300 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns in his first four career games.

His 35 receptions through four games are the second-most in NFL history (Puka Nacua had 39 in 2023). The other two players with 30+ receptions in their first four games each went on to break the single-season rookie record (Nacua, Anquan Boldin in 2003).

The other Giant selected to Brugler's All-Rookie Team was safety Tyler Nubin.

"When working downhill and playing the alleys, Nubin has been outstanding," wrote Brugler. "His toughness and reliability as a tackler stand out on tape and on the stat sheet. Through four games, Nubin is tied for the rookie lead in tackles (22) and has been tagged with only one missed tackle."

In addition to his tackles, which have him tied with fellow safety Jason Pinnock for the fourth-most on the team, Nubin has also forced a fumble.

Not only has Nubin produced thus far this season, but the rookie safety has also been very consistent. The 23-year-old joins veteran linebacker Bobby Okereke as the only two players to be on the field for every defensive snap through the first four weeks of the season.

The Giants also had three rookies mentioned in the honorable mentions section - cornerback Dru Phillips, defensive tackle Elijah Chatman and linebacker Darius Muasau.
