Rich Seubert named 2023 Somerset County Coach of the Year
Former Giants offensive lineman Rich Seubert has been named the 2023 Somerset County Coach of the Year by the Bill Denny/Rutgers Football Letterwinners Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.
Seubert is the head coach at Watchung Hills Regional High School, who finished the season with an 8-3 record after falling in the semifinal round of the NJSIAA Tournament (Section 1, Group 5).
The Wisconsin native joined the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2001 and spent the next nine seasons with the organization.
He played in 104 games with 88 starts, most of which came at left guard, and was a member of the starting offensive line on the 2007 Super Bowl XLII championship team.
Upon retiring from the NFL, Seubert began his coaching career as a volunteer offensive line coach at Mission College Prep, a Catholic high school in central California.
Seubert and his family moved back east in June 2015, and soon soon after he was hired as the offensive line coach at Watchung Hills Regional High School.
He was promoted to head coach the following year.
