Following the team's first off day of training camp, the Giants were back on the field Sunday at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center for their first practice in shells.
Two-time Super Bowl champion Kareem McKenzie was in attendance and watched practice from the sideline, where the former offensive tackle caught up with old teammate Chris Snee early on.
Here's what happened in practice No. 4.

Touchdowns
*The line of scrimmage was set between the minus-20 and 50-yard lines for most of practice, which led to no touchdowns on the day.
*But during the final team period, in which the line of scrimmage was set wherever the previous play ended, the offense earned first downs inside the five-yard line twice. However, on both occasions the line of scrimmage was reset back to the minus-30-yard line.
Takeaways
*It was a clean day for the offense as the unit did not commit any turnovers.
*The defense did come close to securing an interception, though. During the first team period, Dane Belton had great coverage on a pass deep down the field and got his hands on the ball, knocking it away and almost coming down with the takeaway.
Top Plays
*The two biggest plays of the day came from the arm of Daniel Jones. The sixth-year quarterback dropped a perfect pass to wide receiver Malik Nabers, who made an impressive play on the ball deep down the right sideline for a gain of about 30-40 yards. The rookie wideout turned 21 today.
*A few plays later, Jones once again launched a beautiful pass down the left sideline to wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, who came down with the ball inbounds for a gain of 50+ yards.
*With the offense facing a 4th and short inside the red zone, Jones was able to scramble away from pressure before finding Nabers over the middle for a first down.
*Rookie TE Theo Johnson, the team's fourth round pick, practiced for the first time this summer and immediately got into the action. On his first play during team drills, Johnson caught a pass from Drew Lock over the middle for a first down.
*In the final period, Lock found wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie deep over the middle for a solid gain. A few plays later, Lock connected with tight end Tyree Jackson for another big gain to bring the ball to the five-yard line.
*Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. had a couple of nice plays Sunday, including a run early on in which he slipped through a couple of defenders, putting his elusiveness on full display. Later in practice, Tracy caught a screen pass from Tommy DeVito which he turned upfield for a first down.
*Tight end Lawrence Cager and wide receiver Darius Slayton each caught a pass for a first down from Jones, while wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins snagged a first down pass from Lock.
*On the defensive side of the ball, third-round pick Dru Phillips read a play perfectly and was able to jump the route, breaking up a quick screen pass.
*Veteran cornerbacks Darnay Holmes and Tre Herndon each picked up a pass defensed, as well.
*Near the end of practice, linebacker Darrian Beavers got into the backfield for what likely would have been a sack.
*With the ball set on the five-yard line, outside linebacker Brian Burns did a great job of cutting off the edge on a run play. Defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches was then able to stop the runner behind the line of scrimmage for a loss of a few yards.
