Adoree' Jackson hits Giants' top speed of season on pick-6
Giants cornerback Adoree' Jackson made one of the plays of the season during Monday's game against the Eagles.
With the Giants down 20-10 in the final seconds of the third quarter, Jackson intercepted a pass from Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and returned it 76 yards for a touchdown.
While returning the interception, the veteran cornerback reached an impressive top speed of 20.92 miles per hour, according to Next Gen Stats. This was the fastest play by a Giants ball carrier this season and the third-fastest speed on any interception returned for a touchdown in the NFL this year.
The play was Jackson's first interception of the season and the first defensive touchdown of his NFL career.
The play also marked the third touchdown scored by the Giants' defense this season, tying them with the Colts, Raiders and Seahawks for the third-most defensive scores on the year.
Jackson's touchdown narrowly beat safety Jason Pinnock's pick-six for the fastest speed of any ball carrier on the team in 2023.
Here are the three fastest recorded speeds of Giants ball carriers this season:
1. Adoree' Jackson 76-yard INT returned for a touchdown vs. Eagles - 20.92 mph
2. Jason Pinnock 102-yard INT returned for a touchdown vs. Dolphins - 20.80 mph
3. Jalin Hyatt 58-yard reception to begin the second half vs. Cardinals - 20.48 mph
