WR Victor Cruz

Q: How tough is it when the replacement officials are huddling up to get a call right and slowing down the game?
A: It's tough, but we use those moments to get the play call and think about what we're going to do, how we're going to be in plays, so we kind of use that as a little bit of advantage as well. We kind of use every moment to think about what we're doing, so it's definitely tough at times.

Q: What about the challenge of a short week here?
A: It's definitely a challenge, but I think mentally we've had a good week so far and I think we put a lot of good things in place and I think we're ready to go. I think we're going to have to be ready to go. I know we've got some injuries that we're facing, but I think guys have to step up and be accountable.

Q: Can you carry the momentum forward?
A: I hope so. I hope so. We played well this past game and hopefully we can carry that momentum offensively and defensively. We did a heck of a job of stopping them on defense and it's just a matter of carrying that over to this next game.

Q: What are your thoughts on Carolina?
A: They're a fast defense. Jon Beason and that linebacking corps are really good and Chris Gamble is still back there at that corner spot making some plays and doing some things, so it's gonna be a challenge for us, as is every week, and we just have to look at film and see the different plays we can attack them, but they're definitely a much improved defense.

Q: What did week two do for you confidence-wise as an offensive group?
A: It definitely was a confidence builder and it definitely was a game that we needed to kind of get a win and get some momentum going into the season, get the wind at our sails a little bit and it was just a good feeling, a good feeling to get a victory and a good feeling for our team overall.

Q: What's going to be the key to get off to a faster start?
A: That's going to be key. When we get the ball first, I think we have to put some points on the board in order to just get the fans and get the people off of us a little bit and then we can calm down and play some football after that, but I think that first drive is going to be crucial.

Q: Could you tell after the game that Eli had a historic game?
A: You can kind of get that feeling. You can get that feeling that we accomplished something big here and you can just tell by how the game was flowing that it was going to be one of those games where it was going to be a high passing yards game and we were… Us as receivers, we're just making plays every time we touch the football and that was a good feeling and you kind of get the feeling that it was going to be something special at the end.
