Q: What do you see from the Rams defense?
A: It is a very athletic defense running and you can tell by the film, they are excited to be out there and play. The score really didn't dictate how they played against Philly. They played pretty well against a good offense.
Q: Is there a lot of mental trickery with their defense?
A: A little here and there but pretty much what (Spags) was doing here and in Philly, he is doing in St. Louis.
Q: Was that a big step playing against Washington?
A: Yes, it was. I had that as one of my goals, to make the team first and foremost, and then go out and try to play as well as I can in the opening game.
Q: What was the preparation like this summer?
A: I just wanted to show them that regardless of the lockout, I was working out and I can come back and be ready to play. They didn't have to work me in.
