Safety Antrel Rolle - 12/19

Q: What do you think happened with the tackling on Sunday?
A: I think guys were flying around. I think guys were hustling. It's just for whatever reason we were unsuccessful in getting the job done, so we definitely have to do a better job this week.

Q: What does that mean when facing Ray Rice?
A: You've got to play ball. You've got to study your opponent, understand his strengths and weaknesses, understand how he likes to run the ball and just go out there and get it done. Get it done at all costs.

Q: Do you get a sense of what the response will be after you guys have been in this situation last year?
A: I think today we went out there and we had a good practice, but we've got to go out there and play Sunday. That's the bottom line. Obviously, we had a good week of practice last week also, but we didn't go out there and perform as well on Sunday. So we've got to go out there and just get the job done at all costs, no matter what.

Q: Kenny Phillips said that he hasn't seen the fire out there. You've alluded to that at times, right?
A: Yeah. I think that's definitely what we were lacking this past game watching film and just noticing some key things that can be boosted. It's on either side of the ball of what's missing. We definitely have to get back to that.

Q: The fact that you guys were 7-7 last year and went on a great run, can you draw on that experience here?
A: Absolutely not. Last year is a totally different year, totally different experience. If we get ourselves caught up on what took place last year, we're going to find ourselves in a hole we don't want to be in. The only thing that's going to help us out this year is our determination and our will to go out there and get it done. We can't base this year's performance off last year.

Q: Flacco can beat you with the big play.
A: He definitely throws the deep ball. Definitely one of the strongest arms in the league as a quarterback and he has guys that are deep threats -- Torrey Smith and Jacoby and Anquan. They have weapons at each and every position. He can dump it off to Ray Rice at any time.
