Q: You've had some really big games against the Cowboys, especially at Dallas. Do you have a sense of why?
A: No. This year they have a new defensive coordinator, a new scheme. So we're getting prepared for that and we just have to go out there, have a great game plan. It's going to come down to execution, everybody doing their assignments, blocking things up, being able to run the ball, staying in good down and distance and receivers making plays. It's about everybody putting it all together.
Q: Is it exciting playing Dallas with the stakes so high?
A: Yeah. This is exciting. When you're getting into December and you're playing for playoffs and division leads and different things, this is what it's all about. This is a fun time. I think it's important that the guys look at it like that. It's not something to get nervous about or get anxious. It's something to look forward to, be excited, have great energy, great enthusiasm amongst the team.
Q: You don't seem like a team that's lost four in a row. You seem to have a lot of confidence.
A: I think that's important. That's not the mindset. The mindset is looking ahead. It doesn't matter what you've done last week or what your record is. It's what you're playing for, who you have this week. And you have Dallas, Sunday Night Football, that's a big one. I think everybody is excited about the opportunity that we're in right now.
Q: What do you think when Antrel Rolle says 'without a doubt, this team is going to make the playoffs'?
A: I like the confidence and obviously that's the way he feels. That's the way we need to play. We need to play knowing that if we go out there and play to our potential, play the type of football that we know we can [then] that should be the situation.
Q: How difficult is it to decipher Dallas' defensive packages?
A: Yeah, I think they do a good job of mixing things up, a lot of different looks. Obviously when you have a talented rusher like Ware that makes it a lot easier to get pressure on the quarterback. We have to have a good week of preparation and figuring those things out, having to plan how we're going to block things up in our calls. Everybody has to be on the same page.
Q: It was only one play, but do you think you guys gave opposing defenses something to think about with Travis Beckum? A: Maybe. We'll see what personnel they put when he's on the field. It's good to get Travis in the mix and making a big play. We'll see how his role grows.
