QB Eli Manning - 11/19

**

Q: Are you feeling better? **
A: I feel the same. It's always good after 10 weeks to get a little break and refresh the mind and the body, but it's good to get back out today with our team knowing we've got six games left. We're in the lead in our division and we're where we want to be and we've just got to finish strong.

Q: Do you think the self-scouting was good for you guys?
A: Yeah, that's what we always do on the bye week and just see what we need to do better, what teams are doing and see if there is any common trends. But we also just see that we're very close in a lot of things and our third down, our green zone, we're close to being very successful and so it's just a matter of emphasizing just a little bit more on our technique being perfect with things and practice being as sharp as possible and we should be able to get back to playing at a high level.

Q: What was it like just getting back to work as a unit?
A: It's good. You don't get almost a week off very often with this job and during the season, but it was nice to get away but I think everybody was kind of itching to get back and getting back to work. We're excited about where we stand right now, excited about this final stretch of the season and it should be fun.

Q: With what Green Bay does offensively, does that put pressure on you guys?
A: You've just got to play smart as an offense. We know you can't turn the ball over, can't give them a short field. You've got to try to stay on the field, convert third downs and see if you can hold the ball and those types of things. But their defense… I haven't got into a whole lot of studying on them this year. I know in the past they've done a great job of getting turnovers and causing problems, so I watched a little of their game the other day. So we've just got to see what their tendencies are and how we're going to be able to hopefully make some plays on them.

Q: Was it hard watching Dallas come from behind and win?
A: You see Cleveland have a lead and all of a sudden take a lead with just a little time left, but Tony did a great job of making some plays, getting the pass interference and getting the win. So it's going to make this final stretch more exciting and it's really going to come down to what we do and how we handle our own business.

Q: Tom Coughlin said he felt your arm looked sharp today.
A: It felt good. It felt like the ball was coming out where I wanted it to. I think it definitely had a little bit more pop to it. You take a week off and it will definitely give it a little bit more fire, so it was good. I felt it was coming out good.

Q: Were you annoyed with the press saying how your arm was tired?
A: No. I didn't think there was anything to it. In practices, I thought I was throwing the ball well. I felt no fatigue. Obviously, sometimes during the course of the season you may not realize it. But today the arm felt good. I threw some deep ones and didn't have to struggle to get it out there. It was just coming out well.

Q: Did you expect your arm to feel a little better?
A: Yeah. Usually after the bye, you kind of have a little more pep in your step and the arm is a little bit more live.

Q: How do you begin the stretch in terms of focus? You're up by one game over Dallas with six to play.
A: You just focus on the next game and all we can worry about is Green Bay right now, all we can worry about is trying to game plan and just get our offense back to playing at a high level and I think we're close. We're very close. We're just a little off. It's not like we've got to go and just start all over. So we're going to keep working, have a great week of preparation, great focus and go out there and give it our best effort.
