Q: Are you practicing today?**A: Coach's decision. I'll let him answer that one.

Q: Do you feel like you could practice today?A: I feel good. I feel a lot better than before. It's not… I'm standing up right, I'm walking fine. I'm smiling, so that's a good thing.

Q: Tom said it seemed like you were slowing down a bit as the practices were going.A: It's just getting your body back in shape from coming off an injury. You know what you want to do mentally, and now you have to physically train your body to perform at its peak. That's all that is, getting back in football shape.

Q: What other allowances do you have to make for yourself?A: Stay healthy. It's not much I really have to do, other than make sure I'm not going overboard on anything in the weight room, making sure that I'm staying smart and keeping myself in top shape. Making sure I'm eating healthy, but it's not the best tasting thing to do. To make sure that I'm keeping my body fat down and not putting unwanted pressure on my back, and things like that. So, it's just a… how would you say? A routine check-up. We're in camp, so everyday you're out there in practice. In order to go back to your check-up, you end up missing a day. Then you come back to all of this media love.

Q: Was this a previously scheduled appointment?A: No, it was scheduled. It was before I went into practice. 'You're going to go practice.' 'We're going to see how you're feeling.' 'Then, we're going to take you back to the doctor.' So, we're going step-by-step. We're not just throwing you into the fire, and see how things go.

Q: So it doesn't feel right?A: It wasn't like I went down in practice or anything like that. It was, 'you had a few practices. Let's see how things are going.'

Q: And they told you that in the morning, yesterday morning? So, they told you yesterday morning, you would see…A: No. The night before.

Q: I'm sorry. The one thing Tom Coughlin did tell us though he could sense you. I don't know if it was slowing down. He could sense that it was wearing on you. Was that the case? Could you feel it every day a little more?A: I mean, I'm out there practicing. With him watching us, he could probably see a lot more than we can feel. Like watching the film, I'm still doing things that I need to get done. Things I can still work on, which is why we're here at camp. It's not that , 'Oh, you're not where we expect you to be.' You're doing well, your progress is coming along. You're not 100 percent where you just go out there. You still are in a healing process, to make sure that you're still taking care of yourself. So, I went to see the doctor to make sure I was still on the right path.

Q: But in your mind, these last few practices, you weren't feeling worse, or anything like that?A: I felt good being out there, being able to practice. Being able to keep up with Osi; he's fresh, he's glad to be back. JPP got a little bigger since last time I saw him. So, being able to keep up with those guys, knowing that I'm coming back off an injury… When we start going full pads, I was like, "Okay, this is my workout. This is preparing me for the season.
