The New York Giants returned from the bye week with Kayvon Thibodeaux on the practice field.
The third-year outside linebacker was designated for return from injured reserve, where he has remained since Oct. 12. Speaking before Wednesday's practice, coach Brian Daboll also announced that the Giants signed tight end Jordan Murray to the practice squad.
Thibodeaux suffered a wrist injury in the Giants' Week 5 victory at Seattle and underwent surgery. He has two sacks and seven quarterback hits in five games this season. The Giants are currently second in the NFL with 36 sacks behind the Denver Broncos, who have 39 with one more game played.
The Giants, who have 21 days to activate Thibodeaux, face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
