Joe Schoen talks offseason additions on 'Good Morning Football'

General manager Joe Schoen made his return to the television screen Tuesday morning.

Schoen joined Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt on 'Good Morning Football' as the two NFL Network hosts attended the second joint practice with the Detroit Lions at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

The GM was asked a variety of questions, from his thoughts on Monday's practice with Detroit to some of the team's offseason additions.

More specifically, Schoen was asked about his feelings on the three veterans he signed early in free agency - offensive linemen Jermaine Eluemunor and Jon Runyan Jr. and running back Devin 'Motor' Singletary.

"Motor we had familiarity with from Buffalo, Eluemunor and Runyan, they've performed very well," Schoen said about the three veterans. "All three of those guys, what we expected to get in terms of production and the way they look on the grass has been really good. Not only that but from a culture standpoint, who they are as people and what they bring to the table as veteran players with leadership as we're trying to turn this around. They've been phenomenal."

Based on how the first two weeks of training camp have gone, it is no surprise that the two 'GMFB' hosts also asked Schoen about the performance of rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, who has shined all summer.

"He's been really good," the general manager said. "He's had a good couple weeks here, he did a good job yesterday. Again, he keeps stacking good days together. It's what we saw at LSU. He was a dominant player in the SEC and he's come out here, he's learned the offense probably better than we expected. We're about to move him around and he's handling a lot right now and he's able to go out and execute. It's definitely encouraging where he is right now."

Schoen went on to discuss Hard Knocks, the Giants' 100th season and much more. Check out the entire interview in the video below.

The New York Giants hosted the Detroit Lions for joint practices ahead of Thursday's preseason opener.
