One day before clubs must finalize their 53-man rosters, coach Joe Judge confirmed the New York Giants will trade defensive lineman B.J. Hill. The head coach declined to comment on the details until the deal was finalized.
Hill did not play in Sunday's preseason finale against the New England Patriots.
Speaking to the media Monday morning, Judge said Hill is a starting-caliber defensive lineman in the NFL. The Giants originally selected the 6-foot-3, 310-pounder in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Hill played in all 48 games (17 starts) during his three seasons with Big Blue, recording 7.5 sacks, 13 quarterback hits, 10 tackles for loss, and three passes defensed.
