One day before they open the preseason, the New York Giants made a series of roster moves.
They signed veteran offensive lineman Ted Larsen and waived defensive back Jordyn Peters. Running back Mike Weber, who had been on injured reserve with a hip flexor, was also waived.
Originally a sixth-round draft choice by the Patriots in 2010, the 6-foot-3, 323-pound Larsen has played in 137 regular-season games with 88 starts for the Buccaneers (2010-2013, 2020), Cardinals (2014-2015), Bears (2016, 2019), and Dolphins (2017-2018). He has also appeared in five postseason games, including the Wild Card and Divisional Rounds last season for the eventual Super Bowl LV champion Buccaneers. Larsen has experience starting at both guard spots in addition to center.
