The Giants activated defensive back Zyon Gilbert and wide receiver Makai Polk ahead of Saturday night's Divisional Round playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Gilbert appeared in three games late this season, including a start at cornerback in the Week 13 tie with Washington. He also played in the first meeting with the Eagles and registered a sack to go along with three special teams tackles. The 6-foot-1, 182-pounder out of Florida Atlantic originally joined the Giants as an undrafted rookie in May.
Polk, another undrafted rookie, started his career with the Ravens before joining the Giants' practice squad on Sept. 28. He has yet to play a game in the NFL.
After transferring from Cal, the 6-foot-3, 197-pound Polk had a record-breaking 2021 season at Mississippi State. He led the SEC with a school-record 105 catches and also set the single-season program record for receiving yards with 1,046, becoming one of only four players in the SEC since 2000 to record 100-plus receptions, 1,000-plus receiving yards and nine or more receiving touchdowns in a single season.
