Q: Do you have good memories of the last time you played Atlanta?
A: Pretty good. I think we shut them out. I think they got two points. Hopefully, we'll be able to repeat the same thing. Is it possible? Who knows, but we're going to try.
Q: How much do you think that's going to sit with them knowing that they were basically embarrassed by you guys?
A: They're going to be upset about it, but it doesn't matter. At the end of the day we have to win this game and I think it's more important to us than it is to them at this point. So we're just going to go out there and try and get it.
Q: Is it a losing battle if you don't have the sacks to prove it? Do you think it's hard to convince the public if you don't have the sacks to back you up?
A: Of course, but there's nothing else we can do about it. We can say it till we're blue in the face, but the only people who know and actually sit there and watch this for a living, we know exactly how it is that we're actually affecting the quarterback and the teams that try and take us away. So at the end of the day sacks are what everybody looks at, so we have to find a way to get more.
Q: Was Sunday one of the more active games?
A: It could have been better. I think the Saints do an outstanding job in the way they protect and things that they're able to do. So I think we did okay. We won the game, which is the most important thing. I think this week will be better.
Q: Do you have to sell that idea to yourselves that you guys are still having an impact in the pass rush?
A: We know. We actually go through the games and we watch tape and then we know exactly what's going on and so I'm not going to beat myself up. We're not going to beat ourselves up about what's going on out there. We'll let everybody else do that for us.
Q: Do you notice differences in the Atlanta offensive line?
A: Definitely. They're not playing the way that they played. They're just trying to straight up block you. That's what they're trying to do. None of that dirty after the play all that stuff they were doing last year. I didn't even know they had a new offensive line coach, but he's definitely cleaned that up now. I think he's just more interested in winning and blocking people than trying to hurt people.
Q: You guys take pride in being the trigger men of this whole team. You guys in a lot of games feel like you have not been that trigger. Is that correct?
A: No. I won't say that's correct. I think we definitely put a lot of pressure on ourselves and we want to go out there and definitely perform up to our capabilities, but I don't think we're not doing that. It's just like a guy who's a slugger and every single time they're throwing him balls. They're trying to walk him and then you're asking why he's not hitting home runs. They're trying to walk him. If they pitch him the ball, he's going to hit a home run. We're not getting pitches. It's really that simple. When we get the pitches whenever we get ahead, whenever we get one on one blocks, we're going to take advantage of them, but we're just not really seeing that right now.
Q: To keep the analogy going, who has got to drive them in on this team?
A: I'm not into pointing fingers or saying who has to do what. At the end of the day it doesn't matter. We need to get to the quarterback more often no matter what any of us says. That's pretty much what we're going to try and find a way to do.
Q: How do the Falcons protect the quarterback?
A: They mix it up. A lot of times they'll leave you one on one. They chip sometimes. They slide the line… But we'll have our opportunities to get there and I think we just have to take advantage of them.
Q: Are there other people that can help if the pass rush isn't doing too well?
A: There's other players on the team. If the defensive line isn't getting their way, we have linebackers and safeties. They can take over a game. It can't always just be the defensive line and if they're not doing anything, we can't win. The other guys have to step up and they've done a very good job of that.
