Q: Prince was back on the field?
A: Prince came out and did some work. Hopefully he'll be fine. We'll see how he is tomorrow.
Q: How did he look?
A: Well, it's early, it's his first day to really come back and get some work. It's just good to see him out there. I'm sure he's going to have to work through some things.
Q: Was he able to practice through the entire practice?
A: He did some of everything.
Q: Update on Kenny Phillips?
A: He'll go Wednesday.
Q: What's his injury?
A: His back was bothering him after the game.
Q: You said you wanted your time to be better utilized. Are you off to a good start on that?
A: They came with good energy. I think they were focused. We practiced faster; we've got to maintain it. It's (about) getting the focus right, get the work right, practice fast, practice hard, it's a good start.
Q: Did you get the chance to watch some games this weekend, or are you only focused on the Buccaneers?
A: We watched Tampa and Carolina. Caught some of the one o'clock games with our divisional opponents. I saw some of the game last night as well.
Q: Thoughts on Robert Griffin III?
A: I wasn't watching for that reason.
Q: Buccaneers held the Panthers on defense, what are your thoughts on that?
A: They played fast; they played hard. They certainly caused issues up front for the Carolina front. To hold a team that was ranked seventh in rushing in the league last year to 10 yards; I think at halftime it was minus-one. They did a nice job.
Q: Any similarities to the Mike Sullivan offense?
A: Quite a few.
Q: Does that help you?
A: Hmm, we'll see. Execution. Need to play better than the other guy, no matter what. Just need to execute better than the other guy, execute. Tampa executed well, all three phases, too.
Q: Are you nervous about the NFC East this season, already down one game to everybody?
A: Hey, you shouldn't; you can't lose a game. Everybody's 1-0, and we're 0-1. We have another big game this weekend. That's the great thing about our profession, we get to line up and play again.
Q: Is there anything you're taking out of last week's game as a point of emphasis for this week?
A: Execution. Make the plays when the plays are available to you. Be smarter, be the smarter team.
Q: Will Hosley get any more work at corner, as opposed to slot?
A: We'll see how that goes.
Q: Does Marvin Austin have a chance to play in Week 2?
A: We'll see. I think how he comes back tomorrow, we'll know a little better.
Q: What were your thoughts on the defensive tackles in Week 1 against Dallas?
A: Inside, they played okay.
**
Q: Update on Will Beatty:**
A: We're moving along, trying to get more and more each day. He's done pretty well with what we've asked him to do.
Q: Is the goal for him to start?
A: We'll see, we'll see. We'll see how it goes; he has to make up for a lot of lost time.
Q: Were the defensive tackles a bright spot for the defense in Week 1?
A: Well, the other guy rushed for 143. They were solid, I think they were both solid inside.
Q: How important is containing the quarterback in the next couple weeks?
A: Very important. Very important to not allow the quarterbacks to have access to an escape. We provided Dallas with the opportunity to extend plays the other night, which was not by design. We had some errors.
Q: Do you think it was the quarterback making good plays?
A: Sure, sure he did. Sometimes it's the ability of the player.
