Q: Do you feel like you can make an impact like other rookies in the NFL have this season?
A: For sure and that makes my blood boil a little bit because I know I can make an impact on this team. I can't control that now but as soon as I am ready to go, I am going to give it all I've got.
Q: Has anything like this ever happened to you?
A: No, it was definitely random and bad timing. I really try not to dwell on it and look at the positive side of it.
Q: How can you feel prepared?
A: For the mental side of it, I go to every meeting and I am still watching film and being taught a lot from coach Dave and coach Giunta. I know I am getting that stuff in and I am out at practice going through the plays and stuff. I am getting my DB stuff down after that with coach Giunta and during practice with the trainers.
Q: Is it hard to apply things when you are not practicing?
A: For sure because you can know the playbook like the back of your hand but when you get on the field, everything is going so much faster. There are motions and so many different checks. You have to make that decision within seconds before the ball is snapped.
Q: Do you think it will be easier because the Giants are playing more man coverage?
A: Yes, because that is mostly what we did at Nebraska, just line up against a guy and it was your best guy versus their best guy. That's what we did and I am very used to that, but I can play zone, too, so if we play that, I can get in and contribute that way, too.
