EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Giants placed cornerback Aaron Robinson on injured reserve. He must sit out a minimum of four games.
Robinson started at right cornerback Sunday against Chicago but played only 12 snaps (10 on defense) before suffering a knee injury early in the second quarter. He had missed the previous two games after undergoing an appendectomy on Sept. 14.
Robinson was the Giants' third-round draft choice in 2021. He spent the first seven weeks of his rookie season on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list after undergoing core muscle surgery. Robinson returned to play in nine games with two starts and totaled 26 tackles (16 solo) and three passes defensed.
He earned the starting right cornerback job in spring drills and training camp.
