Ben Burress is in his 11th season in the NFL, his sixth with the Giants and his second as the team's defensive assistant.
Burress spent three seasons (2020-22) as the Giants' football data & innovation research analyst. He joined the organization in 2019 as an assistant to the coaching staff/offense.
In 2018, Burress was the Arizona Cardinals' assistant to the head coach.
Burress went to the Cardinals after spending the previous four years with the Carolina Panthers, including three seasons (2015-17) as an offensive and football operations assistant. During that time, Burress assisted Carolina's offensive coaching staff with day-to-day activities including breaking down opponent film, working on practice scripts, weekly scouting reports and assisting on the field with the scout team secondary. He also worked with the Panthers college scouts by coordinating workouts and meetings with college draft prospects.
Burress began his tenure with Carolina in 2014 as an intern in the football operations department.
Prior to joining the Panthers, Burress worked for three years at Furman University, the final two seasons as the assistant director of football operations/video coordinator. He began his tenure with the Paladins' program as an intern.
A native of Sumter, S.C., Burress graduated in 2012 from the University of South Carolina with a degree in sport and entertainment management.
