Travel Log: Giants head to Detroit

8-13-log

For every road game this season, **Giants.com** will catch up with a member of the team for a travel Q&A. This week, get to know rookie quarterback Kyle Lauletta:

What are the must-haves in your carry-on when flying?

Kyle Lauletta: Headphones, always got your phone, iPad to study, and then just your normal things, always bring the toiletries. If you forget the toiletries, never fun.

What do you like to do on the plane?

Kyle Lauletta: I like to study a little bit, listen to music. I usually sleep, too, sleep pretty well on the plane. Anytime you can catch up on sleep with as early as we wake up and stuff, you try to take advantage.

Do you like to sit next to someone or do you like to sit by yourself?

Kyle Lauletta: If there's room I sit by myself, kind of spread my legs out. I don't know what the seat assignments will be so I'm sure we'll have some room.

What was the longest flight you've ever been on?

Kyle Lauletta: The longest flight I've been on was a nonstop to Hawaii. My dad is actually a pilot so I flew to Hawaii once. I think it was like 12 hours. Yeah, that was tough.

What is your routine when you get to the hotel?

Kyle Lauletta: Depends on what we do, but just kind of get settled in. Usually when you've got a roommate, you stake out one side of the room and he gets the other side of the room and then just do whatever (coaches) tell me to do, the itinerary.

What does it feel like to have your first away game as a New York Giant?

Kyle Lauletta: I mean it doesn't feel any different, just different guys. It's a little bit different now that we're practicing against a different team, so I'm looking forward to that. Just like home, you just kind of follow the itinerary, show up early to things and take notes and get as much sleep as you can and learn as much as you can.
