The New York Giants play a football game in a week.
Let that sink in.
Now, without further ado, let's get into the highlights from Friday's padded practice at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center:

TOUCHDOWNS
🔹 It was a heavy practice in the red zone, where Daniel Jones threw touchdown passes to tight end Daniel Bellinger, wide receiver Darius Slayton, and running back Saquon Barkley. The Giants boasted one of the best red-zone offenses in 2022, coming away with an average of 5.16 points in trips inside the 20-yard line (fifth-most in league).
🔹 Jones, who rushed for a career-high seven touchdowns last season, also ran one in on Friday.
🔹 Backup Tyrod Taylor also threw a trio of touchdowns from the red zone, two to David Sills V and another to fellow wide receiver Collin Johnson, who made a tough catch as he fell backwards in the back of the end zone.
TAKEAWAYS
🔹 Linebackers Cam Brown and Carter Coughlin teamed up for the play of the day, with the former tipping a pass up to the latter to complete the interception.
TOP PLAYS
🔹 Tight end Darren Waller kicked off 7-on-7 drills with a tough catch in traffic.
🔹 Cornerbacks Cor'Dale Flott and Tre Hawkins III each forced an incompletion with tight coverage.
🔹 Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence stuffed a run at the goal line … surprise, surprise.
🔹 Linebacker Bobby Okereke is known for tackling but has shown his ability against the pass in his brief time with he team. The former Colt batted down a pass at the line of scrimmage today.
🔹 For the second consecutive day, 13-year NFL veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley showed a move that would have made his rookie self proud. Yesterday, it was a double-move to get wide open. Today, with the ball in his hands, he made a cutback that sent the defender to the ground.
🔹 Cornerback Darnay Holmes prevented a touchdown by beating a receiver to the sideline before he could reach the pylon.
