The New York Giants agreed signed tight end Tommy Sweeney.
Sweeney, 6-5 and 251 pounds, was originally selected in the seventh round by the Bills in 2019 while current Giants head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen were on staff. He played in 24 games in Buffalo with four starts, recording 18 receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown. His most productive season came in 2021, when he played in a career-high 13 games and made three starts. Sweeney missed the 2020 season due to injury/COVID implications.
A native of Ramsey, N.J., Sweeney was an All-ACC player at Boston College after a standout career at Don Bosco Prep.
