EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Giants and outside linebacker Ryan Anderson have reached a contract agreement, pending a physical, according to multiple reports.
Anderson, 6-2 and 255 pounds, played his first four NFL seasons with the Washington Football Team. He has played in 52 games with four starts and his career totals include 78 tackles (49 solo), seven tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, 15 quarterback hits, five forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
In 2020, Anderson played in nine games. He made seven tackles (four solo), including one for a loss. The previous season, Anderson played in all 16 games with four starts at weakside linebacker. He posted career-high totals of 43 tackles (29 solo), 4.0 sacks, nine quarterback hits and five forced fumbles.
Anderson was a second-round selection (49th pick overall) in the 2017 NFL Draft from Alabama.
