The first wave of free agency has passed, and now the NFL has entered the home stretch of this year's draft preparation.
The Giants rang in the new league year by obtaining two-time Pro Bowl outside linebacker Brian Burns in a trade with the Panthers, sending them a 2024 second-round draft choice (No. 39) and a 2025 fifth-round selection and agreeing to a swap of fifth rounders this year (the Giants getting No. 166 and sending No. 141 to Carolina).
Because of that deal and others across the league, the 2024 NFL Draft order had to be adjusted accordingly. The Giants now hold six picks heading into annual selection meeting, which is scheduled for April 25-27 in Detroit.

The former track standout from Las Vegas clocked a 4.45 40 at the combine with a 1.52 10-yard split, a 39-inch vertical and a 4.03 shuttle time. His film is even more impressive than his workout numbers. Last season, he had 92 catches for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns. Everyone who has been around him comes away impressed. His ball skills are truly elite."

Analysis: "New York needs to build out the roster, and Bowers would be a great place to start."

Analysis: "Giants may have interest in a quarterback, but getting one of the top receivers to play alongside Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt would be a major win for Brian Daboll. Whether Daniel Jones is the long-term answer or not, the quarterback of the Giants in 2025 will be set up very nicely."

Analysis: "The pre-draft drum beat for Nabers has been getting louder, with many suggesting he could leapfrog Harrison as the first receiver chosen. Regardless of where he goes, the LSU product looks to be the premier run-after-catch threat in this year's class. Nabers' ability to instantly unlock a big-play element in this offense should be a significant selling point for the Giants, who have to field legitimate threats for Daniel Jones if they're not going to use their top pick to bring aboard his successor."

Analysis: "The Giants desperately need to add talented pass catchers, and one falls into their lap here. Nabers has rare movement skills and was the best receiver in college football this past season. He would immediately become the Giants' most dangerous offensive threat."

Analysis: "Could the New York Giants really walk out of the draft with this good of a talent without moving up? It seems that way as the Cardinals and Chargers beg for teams to trade above them. Drake Maye is an impressive athlete who can deliver haymakers downfield. He's also excellent in the short game, effectively understanding defenders' pre- and post-snap leverage. He plays a lot like Patrick Mahomes did in 2023 but doesn't have the same elite-level arm strength."

Analysis: "The New York Giants badly need to find their future "X" receiver, and Rome Odunze would fit that profile quite well. Most sources we've spoken with believe he'll be an 8–10-year starter at the next level due to his size, athleticism, and football character."

Analysis: "The Giants are a real wild card at the top of the draft. Not conclusively out of the quarterback market, they could also draft a receiver or an offensive lineman. Here, they grab Malik Nabers to finally give them an elite No. 1 receiver."
