Malik Nabers, Tyrone Tracy Jr. become 3rd rookie duo in NFL history to each record 1,000 yards from scrimmage

MALIK-NABERS-TYRONE-TRACY

Malik Nabers and Tyrone Tracy Jr. have joined elite company, rookies or otherwise.

During the Giants' Week 17 game against the Colts, the sixth overall pick and the fifth-round draft choice became just the third rookie duo in NFL history to each have 1,000 yards from scrimmage.

They also did it in style, with Nabers hitting 1,000 receiving yards exactly on a 31-yard catch-and-run touchdown in the first quarter. It marked the 26th 1,000-yard receiving season in Giants history and first since Odell Beckham Jr. had 1,052 in 2018. Tracy, meanwhile, hit his milestone on a 40-yard rushing attempt.

Needing three entering Sunday, Nabers also joined Steve Smith (107 receptions in 2009) and Beckham (101 in 2016) as the only players in Giants history to reach the century mark. Nabers already broke the franchise rookie record of 91 catches, which had been shared by Saquon Barkley and Beckham.

The New York Giants host the Indianapolis Colts at MetLife Stadium for their Week 17 matchup.
