The Giants and Stop & Shop to Host Food Drive on November 20th Food Drive to Benefit Food Bank For New York City:
The New York Giants and Stop & Shop will host their twentieth annual food drive at MetLife Stadium prior to the Giants game vs. the Chicago Bears on Sunday, November 20th, 2016. All food collected during the drive will be donated to Food Bank For New York City for distribution to local partner charities in the area. Fans are encouraged to bring canned or non-perishable foods and deposit them at any of the food drive containers located at the entrance gates to the stadium.
Canned soups and stews, canned vegetables, and canned fish or meats are amongst the most needed items, along with boxed pastas and grains, fruit juices, and shelf stable milk or yogurt.
Since 1997, the New York Giants have hosted this annual food drive and helped feed thousands of hungry families during the holiday season. Thanks to the generosity of our fans, about 5,000 pounds of canned or non-perishable food is collected each year. This year, we ask our Giants family to join the team and once again, assist those in need.
