Five members of the New York State Association of Certified Football Officials named to September's Crew of the Month
East Rutherford, NJ — The New York Giants are proud to celebrate high school football officials throughout New York State in partnership with the National Football League (NFL), the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and New York State Association of Certified Football Officials (NYSAOCF). The New York Giants would like to congratulate the following officials for being named the September High School Officiating Crew of the Month in New York State.
Phil Borko is a 19-year member of the NYSAOCF and in his 16th year with this Crew. Borko serves as the Chapter's Secretary and Treasurer. Throughout his career, Borko has officiated in three New York State High School Football State Semi-Finals and State Championships. In addition to football, Borko is a certified baseball umpire and officiates girls flag football. He serves as the comptroller of a non-profit organization and resides in Rock Hill, NY with his wife and two children.
Andre Giglovitch is a 7-year member of the CHVFOA and in his 5th year with this crew. Andre has officiated in two New York State High School Football semi-final games and one championship game. He also officiates girls flag football and boys and girl's varsity basketball. He is a retired detective with the NYPD and serves as a school resource officer. He resides in Rock Tavern, NY with his wife and two children.
Kerwin Mack is a 26-year member of the CHVFOA and in his 11th season with this crew. He has officiated the New York State High School Football Semi-Finals on two separate occasions and officiates girl's flag football. By trade he is a CDL driver from Middletown, NY where he resides with his wife and three children.
Ed Musa is a 25-year CHVFOA member where he serves as the chapter rules interpreter and has spent 16 years with this crew. He is the former Sullivan County Chapter President and member on the executive board. Musa has officiated in the New York State High School Football Championship game on four separate occasions and in the semi-finals on two occasions. He is also a certified girl's flag football official, soccer official and baseball umpire. By trade he is a certified accountant, and he resides in Neversink, N.Y. with his wife and five children.
Matt Sass is a 16-year member of the CHVFOA. Matt has officiated the New York State High School Football Championship game on five occasions and the state semi-final games on three occasions. He is employed as a high school teacher and coaches high school baseball He also serves a municipal police officer and officiates girls flag football. Sass resides in Warwick, NY with his wife and 2 children.
