GIANTS-GERMANY

The first-ever International NFL Fan of the Year contest has officially selected its 32 nominees from countries around the world, and the New York Giants' representative is Magdalena Schampera from Germany, where the team was granted international marketing rights through the Global Markets Program. In celebration of the news, Giants legend Eli Manning recently surprised Schampera with a video message.

The International Fan of the Year title celebrates extraordinary fans who inspire others with their passion for the game and have been a rallying force across their family, friends and local community through fandom.

For the first time ever, the Fan of the Year contest extended beyond the U.S. to seven eligible international markets to highlight enthusiastic fans from across the world who use football as a platform for inspiration and change.

Thirty-two nominees, one top fan per club, have been chosen from six nations including Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Mexico and the U.K.

The Ultimate NFL International Fan of the Year will be named onsite at the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, Michigan.

"It's fantastic to see the 32 NFL International Fan of the Year nominees from across the world," said Stephanie Hsiao, vice president, international marketing at the NFL. "It is a testament to the league's global growth and the passionate fandom for American football and the NFL from all corners of the globe. We're thrilled to spotlight our international fans for the first time this year as part of our Fan of the Year Program and look forward to celebrating them at the 2024 NFL Draft."
