Ryan Hollern is in his 15th season in the NFL, his fifth with the Giants, and his third as the team's college scouting coordinator.
His primary responsibilities include maintaining the day-to-day operations of the club's college scouting department regarding the scouts' scheduling, processing, and organizing the information gathered on draft-eligible players, and maintaining a computer database of scouting reports.
Hollern served as the Giants' chief of staff in 2020-21, when he was the head coach's top assistant and was involved in every aspect of the football operations, on and off the field.
Hollern spent the 2019 season with the Cleveland Browns as the assistant to head coach Freddie Kitchens.
Prior to joining the Browns, Hollern was the director of football operations for the Salt Lake City Stallions of the former Alliance of American Football League. He oversaw all logistical functions of the club and was the liaison between the front office and all internal departments.
Hollern has spent most of his NFL career in scouting. From 2009-12, he was the New Orleans Saints' combine scout. Hollern was promoted to northeast area scout in 2012, where he stayed until 2015. In 2016-17, he was the Buffalo Bills' college scouting coordinator.
Hollern began his career as Mississippi State's coordinator of recruiting operations from 2006-09.
The Indiana, Pa. native earned his bachelor's degree in psychology in 2001 from Gannon University, where he played quarterback for two seasons. Hollern also has a master's degree in sports administration from Mississippi.
He and his wife, Keely, have a son, Porter, and a daughter, Bennett. They also have a dog, Murphy.
