Patrick Hanscomb is in his seventh season as an area scout after spending the previous 10 years in the Giants' pro personnel department. Hanscomb now focuses on scouting college players, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic states.
Hanscomb served as the season-long pro personnel intern in his first two years with the Giants and joined the organization as a full-time employee in the spring of 2011. During his tenure in pro personnel, his primary responsibilities included evaluation of unrestricted free agents, the Canadian and Arena football leagues, practice squad players and the advance scouting of Giants opponents.
Prior to joining the organization, Hanscomb worked as an administrative assistant for the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League.
Hanscomb was a two-sport athlete at SUNY Brockport, where he earned a bachelor's degree in sports management.
Hanscomb and his wife, Marie, have two sons, William Leif and Jackson James.
