Brendan Prophett is in his fifth season as a member of the Giants' college scouting staff.
Before joining the organization in 2019, Prophett spent three seasons as the Detroit Lions' director of pro scouting. In 2015, he was an area scout for the New Orleans Saints.
Prior to his time in New Orleans, Prophett was a member of the Jets' personnel staff for 15 years. From 2007-14, he was the team's director of pro personnel. He joined the organization as a college scouting intern in 2000 and served in several roles, including assistant director of pro scouting. Prophett also interned with the NFL Management Council in 2000.
Prophett first worked in the NFL in 1999 as a pro personnel intern with the Giants.
Prophett was a four-year starter and three-time all-conference selection wide receiver at the College of New Jersey after transferring from the University of Maine. Prophett played professionally in Germany in 1998 before spending time in the Arena Football League with the Orlando Predators and Augusta Stallions (AF2) from 1999-2000.
The Bridgewater, Mass., native earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the College of New Jersey.
