Week 7: MIN vs. NYG Grades
Giants.com contributor Shaun O'Hara grades the different position groups for their performance vs. the Vikings

LINEBACKERS - GRADE: AJon Beason made some great plays. He was recognizing different formations, getting guys lined up, made a spectacular play all by himself that was basically a touchdown-saving tackle of Adrian Peterson. But they all did a great job of swarming.

SPECIAL TEAMS - GRADE: CIt looked like they were heading for an F with the punt return for a touchdown and then with the Rueben Randle fumble. But then Damontre Moore caused a fumble and they caused another one earlier.

DEFENSIVE LINE - GRADE: B+They did a really good job. Forget about the sack Justin Tuck had, and they just had pressure up the middle. Shaun Rogers did a great job. Cullen Jenkins, Linval Joseph, and Mike Patterson all did a great job of getting that inside push on the guards.

QB ELI MANNING - GRADE: BEli threw what should have been a pick-six. That's the only reason why it's not an A. That should have been an interception for a touchdown, but the player dropped it. I thought Eli would like that throw back to Hakeem Nicks in the end zone. I thought Eli did a pretty good job in the passing game.

RUNNING BACKS - GRADE: B-We have to apply the learning curve to this position because Michael Cox was playing his first game in the offense. I thought he did a pretty good job. He fumbled the ball but recovered it. Peyton Hillis did the same thing. So I love the effort that they gave. With Peyton Hillis and the fact that he was on the street a week ago, he did a great job stepping in and carrying such a big load. I thought he did a great job in the passing game. He had five catches for 45 yards. That was big for the Giants.

OFFENSIVE LINE - GRADE: C+I thought they did a pretty good job for the most part in protecting Eli Manning. They held Jared Allen in check for most of the night. He did have the one sack, but to average two yards per carry on the ground, they've got to do better than that.

WR'S & TE'S - GRADE: C-Rueben Randle did a great job adjusting to that touchdown catch. Victor Cruz had a drop in the end zone. Hakeem Nicks had a couple drops as he was targeted 10 times but had only two catches. So I expect more from that group.

SECONDARY - GRADE: BAntrel Rolle made up for the dropped interception. But any time a quarterback throws the ball 53 times with 33 incompletions and you can hold an offense to those types of numbers, I think you're doing a pretty good job.
