Players to Watch vs. Eagles
Here are the five Giants players to watch on Sunday against the Eagles.

DE Damontre Moore After overcoming a shoulder injury early in the season, the Giants' third-round draft choice has proven he is ready for more work on defense after quality performances on special teams. He is second on the team in special teams tackles and partially deflected a punt last week against the Chiefs. Now he could be the missing ingredient in the pass rush. "Just tell me what to do and I'm going in there with open eyes and just running as fast as I can, as hard as I can," Moore said. "And hopefully something happens."

RB David Wilson Wilson has run the gamut of emotions this season. But after fellow running back Da'Rel Scott was waived this week, he will be relied upon heavily with just two other players at his position, one of which is a rookie. Wilson's workload was increasing even without the roster move as he had a season-high 13 carries for 55 yards last week and caught two passes out of the backfield. "He doesn't get down," Tom Coughlin said. "That guy is pretty good about being up and staying up. He's a battler and a fighter, so I really think David is fine. I told him the other day we need him to get in the end zone and that's what I'm looking for. But I don't see any emotional setback or anything. As a matter of fact, after the first week he came rolling right back and tried to solve all those issues."

RG David Diehl Diehl (thumb) will see his first action of the season, as he is slotted at right guard. The 11-year vet was so excited about the news that he told everyone about it during Thursday's media session. "That's nice of him to announce to the opponent," Tom Coughlin said Friday. "We'll see about that. That could get him a seat next to me right there. His exuberance is outstanding. We're excited. He's like a rookie. He runs around all over the place yelling and screaming and talking to everybody. If he makes an error, he yells out, 'That was me. I messed up.' I appreciate the energy and the enthusiasm."

WR Victor Cruz Amid the struggles on offense, Cruz has taken his Pro Bowl-caliber talent to the next level this season and has 26 catches for 425 yards and four touchdowns through the first quarter of the season, including 164 yards and a score last week. He is on pace for 104 catches, 1,700 yards, and 16 touchdowns. Now Cruz will try to spark his team once again versus the Eagles, against whom he had his coming out party back in 2011. In four career games against Philadelphia, Cruz has 22 receptions for 399 yards and five touchdowns. "He's playing as well as we've seen him play," Tom Coughlin said this week. "Thank God for it."

DT Johnathan Hankins Hankins is the next member of the Giants' 2013 draft class who will be asked to step up as fellow defensive tackles Linval Joseph, Cullen Jenkins, and Shaun Rogers were on the injury report this week. Joseph has been ruled out while Jenkins is questionable and Rogers is probable. That leaves Hankins, who has not dressed on game day yet, and Mike Patterson to try to pick up the load in the middle. "I don't have any problem playing Johnathan," defensive coordinator Perry Fewell said. "We've been saying all along we wanted to try to find a way to get him some game experience."
